Revd. David Ronco
David's journey of faith began at Camrose Baptist Church in the 1950's. Growing up through the Sunday School, Boys Brigade and especially Christian Endeavour David made a commitment to Christ and was baptised at the age of fifteen. On leaving school he worked as a local estate agent for two yeas and during that time felt a growing sense of God's call to Baptist ministry. This was confirmed by the church and he trained at Spurgeons College from 1966-70.
Since then David has pastored three churches, New Haw, Surrey (7 years) Thornhill, Southampton (15 years) and most recently Hertford (15 years.) Last year he felt it was time to face a new challenge and offered himself for what is called Transitional Ministry. This involves working short term with churches who need to review their future mission and ministry before calling longer term leadership. Continuing to live in Hertford he started working part time with Immanuel Baptist Fellowship in Feburary 2008. It has been an interesting and challenging return to his spiritual roots in this area.
His wife Jacqueline supports him in this ministry. They have been married for thirty eight years and have two sons who are both married. Peter & Heather live in New Jersey, USA and have three children (9,7 & 5) and John & Viv live nearby in Bishops Stortford and have two children (2 & and one just born)
Over the years David has been involved in a number of wider ministries. Currently he chairs the Ministerial Recognition Committee of the Central Baptist Association and also the Baptist Twinning in Israel group.
He loves singing and relaxes as a member and soloist with Ware Operatic Society.
